So I think maybe Iapos;ll talk a little about the past and whatapos;s happened recently. For those of you who are vehemetly anti-emo leave now or forever hold your piece. In this entry Iapos;m going to talk about my childhood-ish. Mostly about my dad when I was younger. This is prevelent because I was just having a talk with my friend Ian about this thing that recently happened back home. My dad hit my younger sister. I know everyone is now probably thinking what kind of person am I to talk about it so nonchalantly, but the fact that my dad hit someone isnapos;t a surprise. What surprised me was that it was my sister Calcie, who up until now was never beaten (unlike my brother Kyran and myself, and I was never beaten as badly as my brother). I know it sounds terrible. Compared to a lot of pampered little brats out there it was, but compared to a lot of others we had it pretty good. Especially when my dad started to grow up. He was still a prick, but at least he wasnapos;t beating anyone (Iapos;ve never really been sure if beating is the right word, it was never like on tv, or in novels). Now, donapos;t get me wrong, I love my dad very much. Heapos;s very important to me and I donapos;t know what Iapos;d have done without him. But then over the summer my dad found out he had thyroid cancer. I guess thereapos;s a little bit of a hormone imbalance because he started getting grumpier than usual. Then, just recently, he opened his own computer store. Iapos;m really proud of him for it. But my sister was apparently at her wits end and so provoked him. She pretty much told him to beat her I guess and so he did. And then my family didnapos;t even tell me about it. That really hurt. It also really hurt knowing that I couldnapos;t protect her, although Iapos;m so proud of my brother. I guess he stood up to my dad and wouldnapos;t let him go after my sister when she ran out of the house. I just really wish that life were simpler.
Anyway, I was talking to my friend Ian tonight about it, and even though I donapos;t think he would ever admit it, I think heapos;s extremely mad about the way things have been going on. I do appreciate that he sat on AIM with me while I cried (even though Iapos;m sure he didnapos;t know about that part). Iapos;m really glad that I have him, now that Iapos;ve been lucky enough to have him around I donapos;t know what Iapos;m going to do with out him when we eventually go our own ways....
Anyways, as always-questions in the comments. Next time I think Iapos;ll talk about some of my boy problems. So stay tuned folks. This has been your host Neesha.

I watched the SNL skits on Saturday and decided Sarah Palin really wasnapos;t funny enough compared to Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. So, I have written my own script. Imagine, now, Sarah Palin as she does a parody of a Tina Fey commercial.

It is early August. Sarah Palin arrives late to a State Governorapos;s convention.

"Sorry," she says as she checks-in. "We got a snow delay at the Alaska airport."

The person checking her in says sheapos;ll have to wait until the first speaker is done before she can enter the convention room.

"Aw shucks," she says as she slinks to a waiting room.

There, in the waiting room, sits John McCain.

"Sarah Palin?" he asks.

"Yes Mr. McCain It is such an honor to meet you Howapos;ve you been? Howapos;s the runninapos; for President goinapos;?"

"Fine, fine. Say, Iapos;ve been meaning to talk with you. Iapos;m thinking about having you be my running mate for this election. What do you say?" he asks Ms. Palin.

"Oh, great I donapos;t even need to think about that. Iapos;m definitely, 100 in and ready"

"Great. Sarah, there is just one thing. I think we should talk with Dick Cheney. You know, to make sure you fully understand the duties of the vice president."

"All right. Letapos;s go."

So, they head over to Dick Cheneyapos;s office.

"John," says one of the Secret Service men. "Go right in. Heapos;s at the desk."

McCain heads in, but Palin is stopped.

"Iapos;m sorry, maapos;am. Vice President Cheney is only available for certain recognized people."

Palin looks stunned for a moment and says, "But Iapos;m with John. He invited me."

"Iapos;m sorry maapos;am."

She silently puts her hands together, looks up and prays, "Oh Father, if this is meant to be, give me a sign."

She looks once again at the Secret Service agent, "But, Iapos;m Sarah Palin, Alaskaapos;s 11th governor."

A soft light shines down on her as she says this.

"Well, why didnapos;t you say so? Enter, right now. Mr. Cheney will be pleased to see you."

A voice says as Palin enters the room, "Life is full of ups and downs. For everything, there is God."

I miss the States. Iapos;m having fun here, and itapos;s good training, but...
I miss home. I may be ever restless, always ready to explore and get away, but if I have to stay somewhere for any prolonged length of time... I guess America really is my home.
I went out last night, to a club with some BADA friends. It was okay fun. But today I woke up and I thought about the people I care most about, and realized that I canapos;t wait to drive on the right side of the road, and walk those stupid little Cupertino streets that always stifled me with their familiarity, and that I canapos;t wait to go back to the Eldred Blackbox, that I think a lot of things I came looking for here in London I can find in Chicago.
Thereapos;s lots of cool thing going on here. Iapos;ve seen lots of cool things, Iapos;ve been to a lot of fascinating places, everythingapos;s different and exotic and urban and ancient. But Iapos;m not English. Iapos;m American. So visiting England is fine - but I think Iapos;ll be happier when Iapos;m back in America.
